Many
moons ago my son who at the time was a young pup playing Doom on a 486 dx
(hottest thing out there at the time) continually hassled me to try the
game. I was like.. Pffft! You have to be kidding me! Blood - guts -
ewww! Noooooo thanks ... I was more into Atari and playing Space Invaders
(remember that???) But one day at a weak moment he got me to sit
down and play. *sigh* ---> 8 hours later... *cough* I was completely
hooked (dishes? yard work? cleaning?... huh??). As if I needed
something else to take up my time that I was already trying to find more
of :). I have heard this similar story from other people. What is it
about the gaming aspect that draws people to it as if its some addiction? Can one really become Addicted to gaming? I guess if you
were going to become addicted to something - gaming isnt all that bad.
As the
years went on I became involved in ONLINE gaming. My first online
experience was with Half-Life. What a blast that was. Gaming with
people from other Countries and States was an amazing aspect to me. One
of the servers that I began to frequent was ran by a person named
{NYC}Samson. We became quick friends for a few years and I looked forward
to the time our group would play. In that group was a player by the
name of Rampage.
